Don Tate, author of “The War Within” will be a special guest of Bellingen Library from 6.00pm on Wednesday 22 September.

As well as speaking about his memoir, he will also host a special showing of a historic movie film he took in Vietnam as a young infrantryman in 1969.

Light refreshments will be served.

Curse the Bells author, Doug Wakeling to Visit Bellingen Library

On Tuesday 3 August 2010 at 11am, Valla Beach local, Doug Wakeling author of the book Curse the Bells will be visiting Bellingen Library.

Curse the Bells chronicles the life of Doug’s great grandfather, John Joseph Layburn, from his humble beginnings in the village of Otley in Yorkshire to when he finally settled in Carcoar, west of the Blue Mountains.

Please join Doug in the Library to hear about his book and enjoy a warm cuppa and some biscuits.
