INSIGHT hosted by Jenny Brockie on SBS Television wants to hear from older Australian about their stories of INFIDELITY.

We’re planning a program called STAND BY YOUR MAN (or WOMAN), looking at our attitudes around infidelity and monogamy.

What makes some people stay with their partner after they’ve been cheated on, while others leave?

A 2008 survey of 15,000 Australian women found that 1 in 4 women knows or suspects their partner is cheating on them, 60% were prepared to forgive their husband’s infidelity and15% had cheated themselves.

Despite our cheating ways, marriage and monogamy are still what most of us want. So when can your forgive your partner for their infidelity and when does it become too much – a marital deal breaker.

Are we designed to stay with one partner for life, or is that an unrealistic ideal? Can monogamy also be a bad thing?

We’re keen to find out if attitudes and experiences have changed over the generations, that’s why we are keen to hear from the older and wiser among us.

If you’ve experienced infidelity in a relationship, whether you worked it out or not, whether you were the one cheating or not – we want to hear from you.

Requirements: We would require you to be part of our studio audience in Sydney on Monday February 8 at 6.30pm to share your story. We organise and cover travelling arrangements. In some cases we may consider an anonymous interview.

Location: 14 Herbert St Artarmon.
