What: Toast Urunga – Music, Food & Wine Festival
When: Sunday 2 September 2012, 10am – 4pm
Where: Morgo Street Reserve, Urunga, Coffs Coast
How much: $2 donation, accompanied kids under 12 free

For a relaxing day of good fresh food, regional wines, great music and cooking demonstrations in a picturesque outdoor setting where the Bellinger and Kalang rivers meet the sea, make sure you put Sunday 2 September in your diary.

The festival on Sunday 2 September runs from 10am to 4pm and will feature more than 60 stalls selling a diverse range of cuisines, produce, wines and boutique beers. Whilst adults enjoy music, wine and food – kids have their own entertainment with a jumping castle, sand wizardry, bungy jumping, plaster painting and face painting. Around the town the local shops are open, craft tables are set up around the streets and vintage cars are on display.

Bring: Chair/rug to sit on
Please don’t bring: pets, alcohol, picnic baskets

Christmas is fast approaching and there is a wonderful opportunity for all to join in the fun and colour that is Carols by Candlelight by the River at Urunga. This year we will start at 5pm and there will be a wide variety of local entertainers and community singing. Food and drink will be available to purchase or bring along a picnic. Santa will break away from the North Pole for a quick visit. The evening will finish at 9pm with the most spectacular fireworks display out over the ‘Twin Rivers’. Bring a picnic rug or chair, to the Morgo Street Reserve and sit back and enjoy the entertainment! Urunga~Mylestom Chamber of Commerce thanks the many sponsors and volunteers that make this night an integral part of Christmas in the Bellingen Shire.

EXHIBITION AND SALE

The Urunga Mylestom Chamber of Commerce is kicking off the New Year with
a unique artistic approach. It has invited seven visiting artists, who have
studied and shown in Italy and France and who regularly paint together, to
exhibit alongside eight of its very own professional artists from Urunga,
Mylestom and Raleigh on the 12th of January 2013.

The exhibition kicks off with a cocktail function open to art enthusiasts, locals and visitors on Saturday the 12th of January at the Literary Institute Hall in Bowra St, complete with string trio, complimentary drinks and canapés
